WIsh List

As I get back into my old routine after returning from Europe, habits have started to resurface.  Most are not all that good.  I’m sure you’ve felt the same way at some point or another.  Take NYE for example; everyone sets a New Year resolution.  Right? Well, when they first start the New Year they are pumped and go out of their way to keep on track with their goal.  Usually, this seems to last for about 2 weeks, give or take, and then BOOM, everything goes back to normal and you are back to your old ways.

Well, that’s exactly how I feel.  Now that I have been home for about 2.5 weeks I’m noticing

– I’ve put back on about 1/2 the weight I lost while in Europe (sitting all day vs. walking really doesn’t do great things for the body)

– I’m not as motivated to push myself to accomplish stretch goals I set for myself while overseas because by the time I get home from work I’m too tired to think, let alone study a different language or read.

– My shopping habits have returned now that I don’t have a travel saving goal in sight

The shopping is by far the worse habit to return.  I feel like I have no self-control over my purchasing power.  I’m not strong enough to say JUST SAY NO to that beautiful dress(es) on Styligion that costs over $200 (and when you buy 2 the cost doubles…whoops), or those cute pajama shorts from Nordstrom that no one is going to see but my roommate.

I keep thinking to myself…just add it to your birthday present list (even though my birthday isn’t for another 3 months).  The list is getting too long though, so now it is starting to become more of a Christmas list, but that means I have to wait 4 months and that’s just too long!!  Why oh why can’t money just grow on trees!  I would become the BIGGEST tree hugger if that were the case.  😉

Thank goodness the new Target collection isn’t tempting me TOO much because seeing that it is just around the corner being September 14th and all, I don’t think I’m strong enough to tell myself no much longer.

Don’t get me wrong the collection is adorable.  I just have bigger fish to fry with the Dior sunglasses I have my heart set on, or the Oxford Trunk hat that I want in every shape and color and have been sending to my sister relentlessly.  Fingers crossed she buys it for my birthday but gives it to me a little early.  I might cave if she doesn’t buy it for me soon (insert nail biting)!!!

Anyways, everyone loves a good Target/designer collaboration, so I wanted to be sure to share Altuzarra’s.  My favorite pieces are his trench coats.  They are simplistic, but yet structured which helps to add character and keep a feminine figure by synching the waist belt.  I’m also on a pajama kick and love his satin cami set.  Not only is it cute and comfortable, but also a lace mask is included. If you haven’t seen the mask I’m talking about, just check out the advertisements.

As always, I hope you enjoyed my post and can go make a couple of fun purchases!  I’ll be very jealous!

  1. I can relate! I bought a few things on macys.com last night (all on sale….except one thing) only to get reminded I bought a new pair of bike shorts from athleta. Also on sale, but it adds up fast!
