its greek to me

So…I know I’m not going to Greece anytime soon 🙁 and I should be concentrating on sharing all the exciting details around my trip and the planning I’m doing, but this couldn’t wait!

I woke up this morning to an email from my friend over at Olives ‘n’ Wine, Becky, about Advocare and was inspired to start eating clean again!  Well, for anyone that has made the transition from foods filled with preservatives to fresh produce calorie counting, you know there can be a little bit of a tummy growl from time to time throughout the first few days.  This was true in my case today, but BOY did I treat myself when I got home from work 🙂

While driving home yesterday, I was starving and wanted to make something fast, but would of course still be healthy.  Salads are usually my go to, but I didn’t eat enough protein throughout the day and knew my focus needed to be on balancing out my diet.

Luckily I had some Jennie-O ground turkey already thawing in the fridge, so I had the base of my meal ready to go.  After rummaging around a bit I noticed I had a greek theme available (cucumber, tomato, feta) and decided to create a greek inspired turkey burger.

Because I was in such a hurry I started chopping and mixing everything together quickly and boy oh boy yummy!  I’m not lying when I say THIS WAS THE BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD, restaurant or home cooked!!!

I wish I could say I wrote down the exact measurements of each ingredient so I could share this masterpiece with you, but I didn’t.  With that being said, I can’t leave you hanging, so I’m going to do my best to estimate so you can try to recreate this mouth watering deliciousness.  Here goes nothing!
